About Dr Hwang

Terresa Hwang, D.C.

Dr. Terresa Hwang is the owner of Choice Chiropractic and Wellness, serving the Duluth, Midtown, and surrounding areas since 2002.

Dr. Hwang is an active member of the community and constantly strives to improve and update her knowledge in the field of chiropractic by attending seminars and keeping current with chiropractic and sports injury treatment research. Her mission is to educate and help as many people through chiropractic care as possible and strives to guide people towards their optimal health expression. Dr. Hwang volunteers regularly to conduct blood pressure screenings and participate in community education forums.

Dr. Hwang began her undergraduate studies at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington and continued her chiropractic studies at Life University in Marietta, Georgia where she received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2002.

Dr. Hwang specializes in sports injuries and pain relief by utilizing manual chiropractic adjustments, Active Release Technique (ART), Graston Technique, and supportive kinesiotaping. She also utilizes the Activator technique and the Thompson table technique.

Dr. Hwang’s personal interests include bootcamp at Piedmont Park, amateur running events, art in any form, and travel.

About Kawanna Wicker, CCPA, LMT

Kawanna Wicker has been a Chiropractic Assistant for 7 years. She started as a CA while attending college in Tallahassee, Florida. It wasn't until a number of months into her position that she began to realize the magnitude of possibilities as C.A. She then pursued a career in Chiropractic and invested many hours studying how to be the best and most effective she could be, earning her certification as Certified Chiropractic Physician’s Assistant (CCPA) from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 2007. Kawanna later furthered her study in massage therapy at Everest University and became a licensed massage therapist (LMT) in the state of Florida in 2008. Kawanna lives, eats, and breathes chiropractic and is one of those awesome Chiropractic Assistants with unstoppable passion for chiropractic health.

Kawanna currently lives in Duluth with her husband, Willie, and her 15 month old son, Wille, Jr., who they refer to as “King”.

Kawanna enjoys music, shopping, reading, and spending time with her family.
